ELIZABETH "LIB" BEST BIGGERSTAFF

YOUNGSVILLE--Elizabeth "Lib" Best Biggerstaff was a native of Wayne County and was the daughter of Cuyler & Frances Herring Best.

Lib graduated from Pikeville High School and Crumpler's Secretarial College.

In 1952, she married Daries O. Biggerstaff, Jr and lived in Wayne County until moving to Raleigh in 1961.

In 1961 she began a career with the State Bureau of Investigation, where she worked for 30 years and received the Long Leaf Pine Award.

Lib was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and Mema to everyone.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Harris Chapel Baptist Church, 2960 Tarboro Rd, Youngsville. Dr. William H. Haley will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving are: three children, Daries N. Biggerstaff and wife, Karen, Kathy B. Little and husband, Ken, David W. Biggerstaff and wife, Kristi; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Donations may be made to Harris Chapel Baptist Church or to Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh.

Friends may visit with the family from 2:00-3:00 pm prior to the service at the church.
