ROCKY MOUNT-- Frances Louise King Denton, 85, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019. A funeral service will be held Sunday, Jan. 6, at 3 p.m. at Englewood Baptist Church, 1350 S. Winstead Ave., Rocky Mount, with the Rev. Michael Cloer officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be from 2 to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service in the church.

Born in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Preston King and Belle Elizabeth Dennis King. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dick Isham Denton; stepmother, Mary Helen Griffin Radford; brother, James King; sister, Carey Jones.

Surviving: daughters, Elizabeth Jones, Barbara Stallings (Ricky); sisters, Mary Rocha, Mamie Faulkner and Laura Tyson; brothers, Thomas Bryant and Preston King Jr.; four grandchildren.
