ROBERT BOWDEN JR.

SAN ANTONIO, TX--Robert Bowden, Jr., 69, of New Braunfels, TX, formerly of Franklin County, transitioned into his eternal rest on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 in San Antonio, TX.

Robert (Bro Boy) was born in Wake County on December 12, 1949 to the late Robert Bowden Sr. and Mary Hartsfield Bowden.

He was educated in the Franklin County School System and graduated from Bunn High School in 1968. He attended Louisburg College and retired from the United States Air Force after 22 years of service. He was employed by Valero Fuel Co. in the Human Resource and Security Department for many years.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Leon Valley Baptist Church, 7990 Grissom Road, San Antonio, TX. Burial will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, TX.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 45 years, Gisela Bowden of the home; sisters, Radia Crumel of Bailey, NC, Susie Davis and Ester Rogers of Bunn, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
