Efforts appreciated

Dear editor:

As Chad Barefoot leaves to start his next adventure at the Heritage Foundation in Washington D.C., I write this to express appreciation for his service to Franklin County.

Franklin County owes Chad a great debt - he took the great political risks necessary to get comprehensive emergency and other medical services back at the hospital.

Chad never once asked for glory and he never once tried to make this a partisan issue.

Chad worked alongside many people who had different political backgrounds and beliefs and he made it clear all he wanted was needed medical services back in Franklin County.

I am honored to have worked with Chad and honored to call him and his family my friends.

I hope all the citizens of Franklin County will join me in thanking Chad and wishing him the best in his new opportunity.

Get some chapstick, Boyd. I'm sure your lips need it after all that kissing.
