CASTALIA--Boddie Joel Joyner, 75, died Saturday, May 11, 2019 at his home. The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd. Louisburg, where the funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Jason Havens officiating. Burial will follow in the Joyner family cemetery, 461 Mount Hebron Rd., Castalia.

He was born to late John Clifford and Virgie Gupton Joyner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Jane Altman and Ginger Davis; his brother, John C. Joyner Jr.; and daughter, Christy Brooks-Dement.

Surviving: wife, Judy Jackson Joyner; sons, Johnnie Brooks (Angie), and Stevie Brooks; two grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
