HENRY BUNNIE SHEARIN, JR.

LOUISBURG--Henry Bunnie "H.B" Shearin, Jr., 88, of Louisburg went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 25, 2019. He was born on April 1, 1931 to the late Henry B., Sr and Rosa Mae Gupton Shearin. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by siblings, Ruby Thomas Allsbrook, Earl Creech Shearin, Ronald Shearin, and Hugh Gaither Shearin. H.B. served our country in the U.S. Army. He was born and raised in Franklin County, and a member of Wood Baptist Church for more than 60 years. In 1995, H.B. retired from the North Carolina Department of Agriculture after 25 years of service. H.B. loved hunting and fishing, playing Solitaire, sitting in his shop, eating Aunt Ruby's Peanuts, and meeting his buddies at The Country Store in Centerville. He was a member of the Franklin County Sudan Shrine Club, Masonic Lodge #413 A.F. & A.M, and the Eastern Star Chapter No. 39, where he received a 50-year pin in 2018.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:00-1:45 pm at Wood Baptist Church, where funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Burwell Stark officiating. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

H.B is survived by his loving wife of fifty-three years, Edith Belle Shearin; sons, Henry B. Shearin, III (Daffy) and Dean Shearin (Sandra); grandchildren, Branden Shearin (Emily), Dustin Shearin, Landon Shearin, Noah Shearin, and Savannah Leonard; great-grandchildren, Haven, Haddie Belle, and Holland. H. B. is also survived by his sisters, Hodgie McGinty of Augusta, GA and Louise Riddick of Rocky Mount.
