GERALD B. EDWARDS
November 5, 1938 - June 10, 2019

LOUISBURG - Gerald Brooks Edwards, 80, of Louisburg, passed away Monday morning.

Gerald was a son of the late Robert and Annie P. Edwards. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Grace E. Smith, Ruby E. Wester, Rose E. Jones and Mozelle E. Thayer.

Gerald worked many years for Mellinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and then went on to farming fulltime until his retirement.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Hill King United Methodist Church with Rev. Dave Bundy officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Lancaster Memorial Park.

Gerald is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Linda P. Edwards; son and daughter-in-law, Marty and Helen Edwards of Wake Forest; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mack and Ann Edwards of Greenwood, SC; Waylon and Debbie Edwards of Kittrell; brothers-in-law, Wade Puckett and Sonny Thayer, both of Louisburg; grandchildren, Jessica Edwards and Phillip Edwards; great-grandchildren, Grace, Liam and Wyatt; many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hill King United Methodist Church, Missions Fund, 1897 NC Hwy. 39 S., Louisburg, NC 27549.
