HAROLD HENDERSON "DOC" WHEELER

FRANKLINTON--Harold Henderson "Doc" Wheeler, 90, of Franklinton, left us to be with the Lord on Monday, September 16, 2019. He was born the son of the late David and Zelma L. Wheeler on October 23, 1928.

He was a US Army veteran, serving from 1950-1952, and was proud of his service to his country.

Harold was preceded in death by his brothers, Fred and Julius Wheeler, and a sister, Christine.

He was a lover of farming and was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Doris Preddy Wheeler; a daughter, Janice Arnold and husband, Tony; a son, Edward Wheeler and wife, Laurel; grandsons, Gilbert and Wayne Wheeler, all of Franklinton.

He was a longtime member of Flat Rock Baptist Church and a member of the King's Men Sunday School Class.

Funeral service for Harold Wheeler was held at 3:00 pm Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Flat Rock Baptist Church, 1529 Flat Rock Church Rd, Louisburg. Rev. Gary McNair officiated. Burial followed with military honors at the church cemetery.

The family received friends following the burial at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Flat Rock Baptist Church Building Fund, 1529 Flat Rock Church Rd, Louisburg, NC 27549.
