FRANKLINTON--Eddie Edward Eason, 72, died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2019 after years of declining health. Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at Lancaster's Franklinton Chapel, 504 East Mason St., Franklinton, with Pastors Carl Hunter and Spencer Strickland officiating. Burial followed at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens in Wake Forest.

He was born to the late Melvin and Sarah "Ruth" Garner Eason. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Eason. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1967-1970 and was a Purple Heart recipient.

Surviving: wife, Imogene Gay Eason; daughter, Karen (Gary) Kearney; one grandson; brothers, Jerry Garner (Brenda) and Roy Eason (Flo); sisters, Carol O'Neal and Lynn Creech (Danny).
