ERROL J. SKISLAK, 93, of Youngsville, NC (formerly of Freehold, NJ) peacefully passed away on December 24, 2019 at the William M. Dunlap Center for Caring after a brief illness. Errol was born in Irvington, NJ to the late John and Helen (Mako) Skislak and graduated from Seton Hall Prep in 1944. Shortly after graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corp and served with the 878th Air Engineering Squadron, earning the American Theater Campaign Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and Victory Ribbon.

After honorably serving his country, Errol became a salesman for the National Biscuit Company, retiring in 1989, after which he transported precious cargo for the Neptune School District while a school bus driver. He loved walks on the beach, collecting and recording big band music, telling jokes and everything chocolate! His true passion, however, was ballroom dancing with his beloved wife of 25 years, Sandra (Jasinski) Skislak. Errol was a member of St Peter's Episcopal Church in Freehold, NJ, as well as a Life Member of the American Legion, Post 346.

Errol was predeceased by his parents, his sister, Gloria (Skislak) Bonsma, and his former wife Julia. He is survived by his loving wife Sandra, his step-daughter Donna and her husband Michael McCallum with whom he lived; his sons Gary and his wife Colette Skislak of Gulf Breeze, FL and John Skislak of Neptune, NJ; grandsons Ryan McCallum and his wife Tia of Wake Forest, NC; Kyle McCallum of Youngsville, NC; Jason Skislak and his wife Katie of Neptune, NJ; granddaughters Elyse Woody of Gulf Breeze, FL, Elaine Lipscomb and her husband Eric, also of Gulf Breeze, FL; Corrine Lewis and her husband Kyle of Cary, NC; and Caitlin Gregory and her husband Brian of Birmingham, AL. Errol is also survived by six beautiful great-grandchildren, Vivienne, Riece, Chloe, Caleb, Adelle and Logan.
