Trump wins Dems' debate

Dear editor:

Well, another Democratic debate and once again the winner is Donald J. Trump. I really could not watch the entire debate, but it does not appear that many people tuned in.

Now to the impeachment of a duly elected president of the United States of America.

If I understand the situation, an anonymous individual came forward with a concern about a presidential phone conversation with the new president of Ukraine. The individual did not hear the conversation but provided an account of the conversation from a second- or third-hand individual. The account ended up being obviously incorrect after the transcript was released. The fire storm that ensued with opinions on whether the call rose to the level of impeachment became a point of debate. Let me remind you that most of these politicians have law degrees. Many consider themselves to be "constitutional scholars." It should be a simple analysis.

This anonymous individual has been called a "whistle blower." Given the fact that the information provided was, at best, inaccurate and at worst a fabrication, what is the difference between a "whistle blower" and a "snitch"? It is obvious that the individual had political motivations. I understand the identity of this "snitch" is to remain anonymous.

This whole mess reminds me of Wile E. Coyote trying to catch the Roadrunner. Mr. Coyote does a lot of business with the Acme Company and is always trying to buy products to outsmart the Roadrunner. I would like to chat with Mr. Coyote, who does seem to be a nice guy, and explain to him that the Roadrunner is far smarter and likely will always win. The group in the House of Representatives that are bent on impeachment maybe should chat with Mr. Coyote. I feel he could provide some sound reasoning that is sadly needed.

Beep-Beep.
