RAMONA D. MARSHALL

LOUISBURG--Ramona Dement Marshall, 90, of Louisburg transitioned peacefully into eternal rest on Monday, May 11, 2020 at her home. She was born on February 8, 1930 to the late Joseph and Frances Edwards Dement.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Marshall; her siblings, Eugene Dement, Edward Radford, Mattie Parrish, Willie Rue Holmes, Josephine Woodruff and Joe Perry Dement. She had a strong work ethic and worked hard along side of her husband, Bert, farming in the fields. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking, cutting grass, gardening, and flowers. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who she referred to as her babies, were the apples of her eye.

Due to the pandemic and social distancing, a limited funeral service will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Centerville Baptist Church with Reverend Doug Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Ramona is survived by her children, Cathy Conn, Edith Marlowe (Jackie), and Tony Marshall; grandchildren, Travis Conn (Andrea), Ivey Patterson, Krystal and Byron Marshall; great grandchildren, Destinee and Zeke Williams, Caleb and Carly Patterson, Marshall, Christian and Holden Conn; brother, Garner Dement (Brenda); and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg, NC 27549. Online condolences may be made to www.lancasterfcs.com.
