FRANKLINTON -- A wreck investigation led authorities to arrest a Durham man on drug charges.
Hunter M. Hall, 22, was charged with felony possession of Schedule IV controlled substance, maintaining vehicle for the sale of controlled substance, felony possession of controlled substance on jail premises, driving while impaired, and other driving offenses
Franklinton police and the State Highway Patrol responded to a crash on U.S. 1 just after 11 p.m. on May 3 to find a vehicle crashed into the guardrail.
According to the report, officer's immediately recognized signs of impairment from the driver.
Officers also learned that the driver, later identified as Hall, was in possession of about 110 Xanax pills.
Hamilton was arrested and placed in the Franklin County jail in lieu of a $41,500 secured bond.
He was next slated to appear in court on May 21.
