ROBERT "BOB" PHILLIPS

YOUNGSVILLE--Robert "Bob" Phillips, 57, of Youngsville transitioned peacefully into eternal rest on Monday, May 25, 2020 at his home with his family by his side after a long battle with cancer. He was born on October 22, 1962 to Bridget Phillips and the late Stanley Phillips.

Bob had a strong work ethic, he was a volunteer firefighter and EMS in Floyd, NY. Upon moving to North Carolina, he was employed with Goodyear/Just Tires in Wake Forest as the store manager, where he retired. After retirement, he started with Youngsville Rescue in 2009 and rose to be the Assistant Chief. He also worked with Franklin County EMS. Bob was a people person, never meeting a stranger and always finding the good in everyone. In his spare time, he enjoyed Nascar, and his camping trips across the United States with his family. He was an amazing husband, father and grandfather.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd. Louisburg, NC 27549, with Reverend David Averette officiating.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Moseley Phillips; daughter, Nicole Keen (Matt); son, Andrew Phillips; stepdaughters, Sarah and Hannah Cullen; grandsons, Austin Pierce and Zakkary Keen; mother, Bridget Phillips; siblings, Sally Targosh, Michael Phillips (Joyce), Jackie Ellis (Mike) and his dog, Willow.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Franklinton Baptist Church, P.O. Box 477, Franklinton, NC 27525. Arrangements are being handled by Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services. Online condolences may be made to www.lancasterfcs.com.
