"JACK" JACKSON W. STRICKLAND, JR.
March 11, 1943 - July 19, 2020

LOUISBURG - Jackson Wendell Strickland, Jr. 77, of Louisburg, passed away Sunday afternoon.

Jack was a son of the late Jack and Mary J. Strickland and was preceded in death by his sister, Melina S. Bell, and his brother, Randolph Strickland.

Jack was a loving father and grandfather and will be deeply missed. He was a mechanic and loved drag racing. He gave a lot of his time and support to the New Hope community and other surrounding communities.

A graveside service will be held 9 a.m. Thursday at New Hope Christian Church Cemetery, with Rev. Steve Barham officiating. The family will re-ceive friends immediately following the service.

Jack is survived by his daughters, Jackie S. Burbank of Youngsville, Tammy Murray of Franklinton; sons and daughters-in-law, Jackson and Cara Strickland, III of Louisburg, Stephen and Denise Murray of Wake Forest; sister and brother in-law, Anita and Chris Herndl of Durham; 8 grandchil-dren; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Hope Christian Church, 2779 NC 98 Hwy. W., Louisburg, NC 27549.
