LOUISBURG--Joseph Francis Dempsey, III, 74, of Louisburg died Friday, Aug. 14, 2020 at Duke Raleigh Hospital. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Aug. 18, in the chapel of Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg.
He was born on Jan. 8, 1946 to the late Joseph Jr. and Anna Rohrer Dempsey, the oldest of 14 children. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a master craftsman.
Surviving: his wife, Stella Zanghi Dempsey; sons, Joseph, Kevin, Michael, Steven (Nikolle), and Christopher (Sydney); seven grandchildren; brothers, Billy, Andy, George, Leo, Julie, Mike, and Jack ; and his sisters, Susie, Patsy, Lucky, Donna, Debbie, and Tracey.
