CLARENCE "BERNARD" COOKE

FRANKLINTON--Clarence "Bernard" Cooke was born on July 29, 1934 to Herbert and Eleanor Cooke in Franklinton. He was preceded in death by his parents and his two older brothers, Frederick and Milton. The couple moved from Maryland to Louisburg after retiring in 1996.

Surviving: his wife, Joyce; three children from a previous marriage to Madeline Cooke: Carmelita Herbert (Marvin), Audrey Cooke, and Ulanda Cooke; two "daughters" Renee Towns and Paula Stanley (Vincent); one sister, Madge Raiford; one brother, Donald Cooke; three grandchildren, Frederick, Nicole and Orlando; four "grandsons" Errick Towns, Jr., Montelle McCray, Curtis Towns, and Marcus Towns. Together the couple have a total of three great-granddaughters and seven great-grandsons.

A graveside service, will be held Saturday, Sept. 26, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Mitchiner's Grove Church cemetery, Franklinton, with the Rev. Melvin Jackson, officiating
