RUTH EMOGENE BAREFOOT

LOUISBURG--Ruth Emogene Umbel Barefoot, 84, of Louisburg died Monday, Oct. 5, 2020 at Maria Parham Franklin. The family will receive friends Friday, Oct. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Newman Funeral Home, Friendsville, MD. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Asher Glade Church of the Brethren, with the Rev. Michael Saturday officiating. Burial will follow in Asher Glade Cemetery.

She was born on July 12, 1936 to the late Quincey and Mildred Teets Umbel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Glenn "Randy" Barefoot Jr., Sharon Burnworth, Donna Beachy; and her sister, Judy Sweitzer.

Surviving: husband, Glenn R. Barefoot; daughters, Lois Murray (Donald), Linda Marshall; 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; siblings, Peggy, Cathy, Carol, Debbie, Nancy, Butch, Bill, Rick, Ervin, Ron, Sonny and Buddy.
