WILLIAM (BILL) H. COCKAYNE, III

LOUISBURG--William (Bill) Henry Cockayne, III, 88, of Louisburg died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2020 at his home. A memorial service will be held Thursday, Oct. 22, at 4 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Billy Seate officiating.

He was born in Berkeley, CA on May 16, 1932 to the late William Henry Jr. and Thelma Cooper Cockayne. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Surviving: his wife, Betty Cockayne; daughter, Stacey Westcott (Chris); stepdaughter, Dawn Piercy; stepson, Gerald Piercy (Susan); brother, Bob Cockayne (Sally); two grandsons; three step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
