DONALD WAYNE ALLEN

KITTRELL--Donald Wayne Allen, 77, of Kittrell passed away peacefully on November 6, 2020 at Transitions Life Care in Raleigh. He was born on December 16, 1942 in Wake County to the late Leamon Howard and Myrtle Ray Allen. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his wives, Carolyn Baker Allen and Carolyn Lowery Allen; stepson, Jones Wayne Hart Jr.; brothers, Leamon Allen Jr., Bruce Allen, Clayton Allen, and Kenneth Allen.

Donald's pride and joy were spending time with his family that he loved to the fullest. Donald loved to tinker with McCormick Farmall tractors. He also enjoyed the outdoors where he would often find time to hunt, fish, or just cruise around his farm on his golf cart with his dogs, J.R. and Rocky.

He was a man of his word. He always said, "A man is only as good as his word." So, if he gave you his word, it was being set in stone.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Karen Allen Cooke (Joseph); grandchildren, Lindsey Cooke (Kristen), Wesley Cooke; great-grandson, Wyatt Cooke; sisters, Bobbie Driver, Betty Sue Berry, Alice Jones, Glenda Moody; brothers, Ricky Allen, Timothy Allen.

A service to honor Donald's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2020 in the chapel of Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg, NC 27549, with the Reverend Bruce Tucker officiating. The family will receive friends following the services. Masks and social distancing are required.

The family would like to thank Transitions Life Care for all the love shown to Donald during this time. Arrangements are being handled by Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services. Online condolences may be made to www.lancasterfcs.com.
