PHILIP PERRY MURRAY

LOUISBURG--Philip Perry Murray, 77, passed away peacefully while surrounded by family on Wednesday, November 11, 2020. Philip was born on March 13, 1943 to the late Herman and Geneva Hill Murray. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Blondie Horton Murray; son, Philip Scott Murray; and brothers, William and Wayne Murray. Philip loved his family He enjoyed drinking Mountain Dew, crossword puzzles and especially fishing.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Maple Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Warren Hill officiating. Family received friends on Friday November 13, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Service. Due to the pandemic, masks and social distancing were required.

Philip is survived by his son, Brian Murray (Laura); grandchildren, Kelly, BJ (Lauren), Brett (Lexi), Trey, Waylon and Blondie Murray; great-grandchildren, Halen, Hayes, and Lacey Murray; bonus grandchildren, Joanna, William, and Dalton Mercer; and special friend and companion, Marie Pearce.
