SHERRY M. EDWARDS
June 5, 1950 - December 8, 2020

LOUISBURG--Sherry Mercer Edwards, 70, of Louisburg, entered into eternal life Tuesday, December 8th after a long battle with a debilitating disease.

Sherry was born to the late Marvin and Helen Mercer in Robeson County, NC.

To know Sherry was to love her. She was a strong, energetic woman who loved life and could run circles around people half her age. Some of her favorite moments were spent dancing with Cliff, playing with her grandchildren and celebrating with family and friends.

Sherry's imprints of laughter and love are in so many hearts, never to be erased. Her memories are affectionately cherished by her devoted husband of 50 years, Cliff Edwards; daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and Kurt Files of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Paige and Ken Matthews of Emerald Isle; grandchildren, Caison Files and Fletcher Files; Ezra Matthews and Jasper Matthews; siblings, Woody Mercer of Ocean Isle, Marvin Mercer of Asheville, Annette Springle of Raleigh.

A service to celebrate her life will occur in the future.

A world of thanks to Linda Jones, Lisa Paul, Sheila Pleasants and the Hospice staff for taking care of Sherry.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Aphasia Association at aphasia.org.

Arrangements are by Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory, Louisburg, www.stricklandfuneralhome.net.
