Funeral services for Shirley M. Chavis, age 79, who died on Monday, December 14, 2020, will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. from the Richardson Funeral Home Chapel in Louisburg with Rev. William Eli Ratcliff officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunset Garden, Inc. Cemetery.
She is survived by one daughter, Renda McLurkin of Newark, NJ; one son, Reginald Darby of Roselle Park, NJ; two grandsons, William S. McLurkin, IV of Newark, NJ, Eric Reginald Darby of Union, NJ; three sisters, Evelyn Regina Manns (Frank) and Irma Bailey (Luke), both of Louisburg, NC, Elaine Chavis-Young of Henderson, NC; four brothers, Bobby Hartsfield (Christine) of Springfield, MA, Joe Douglas Chavis of Henderson, NC and Sylvester and Bernard Chavis, both of Oxford, NC.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home.
