Kenneth Welcome Robertson

Louisburg -- Kenneth Welcome Robertson, known by family as Jim, passed from this earth on January 13, 2021, in his home surrounded by his family.

Born October 3, 1945 in Chesterhill, Ohio, Jim kept a life long love for the hills and the great outdoors, instilled in his children, grand children and great grandchildren. After traveling the world over his 30 years of service as a United States Navy Submariner, he settled in Louisburg, North Carolina and spent his retirement years making friends, sharing stories, loving his family and dogs and being good for a laugh at any moment.

A doting grandfather, loving father, generous friend, adored brother and uncle, he is survived by his wife Linda Robertson of Louisburg NC, his children Jackie and Joseph Demeule of Louisburg NC, Kathleen and Brice Hall of Zebulon NC, Rachel and Harvey Higginbotham of Louisburg NC, and Megan and Drew Alford of Bailey NC, son Zachary Robertson of Wake Forest NC; sister Bonnie Griffin of Meridian Mississippi and brother Cliff Robertson of Chesterhill Ohio; granddaughters Megan King, Emilie Hill, Kaysie Hall, and Paige Demeule; grandsons Logan Robertson, Joseph Demeule, Brandon Hall, Christopher Hall, Matthew Demeule, Rowan Alford, and Forest Alford; and great grandsons Jaxon King and Westley Hill. He is proceeded in death by his parents Ruth and Kenneth Robertson, and his siblings Donnie and Billy Robertson, Louise And Dorothy Robertson, Rachel Yoho, Eloise McCune and Barbara Van Ness.

Private services will be held Tuesday, January 19th at Brown Wynne Funeral Home at 300 Saint Mary's Street in Raleigh North Carolina.

Flowers accepted but donations can be made to Carolina Basset Rescue, P.O. Box 80087, Charleston, SC 29416, in his honor.
