JAN LEE GEORGE SR

FRANKLINTON, NC--On Monday April 12, 2021, Jan Lee George Sr, loving husband and father of five children passed away at the age of 60. Jan was born on September 30, 1960 in Bethesda, NC, but has resided in Franklin County for 30 plus years, and was employed by Time Finance. He was a faithful member of his church, Pocomoke Cowboy Church, and an active member of the Oak Grove Ruritan Club.

He was preceded by his parents, Wallace and Irma George, and brothers Brian and Tony George. He is survived by his wife Kathy George and five children: Melissa Kiker, Brooke Williams, Jan Lee George Jr, Patrick George, and Randi Wilkerson (and their spouses) eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He loved the outdoors, tinkering in his workshop, spending time with his family and friends, but most of all spreading Jesus' love.

A viewing with be held at Lancaster Funeral Home, 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg on Friday, April 16, from 6-8 p.m. for friends. To follow social distancing, a limited amount of people will be allowed in to visit at a time.

A memorial service held on Saturday, April 17 at 11 a.m. at Pocomoke Cowboy Church, 3516 West River Rd., Franklinton. The service will be held outside for safe social distancing.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Jan, to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to the American Diabetes Foundation.
