HOYT MEDLIN
January 14, 1929 - April 18, 2021

Hoyt Medlin, 92, of Bunn, went home to be with the Lord Sunday morning. He was born in Franklin County, a son of the late Richard and Mamie Raybon Medlin. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Martha Denton, Ora Perry and Delphine Turner; brothers, Curtis, Johnny (Red), Mickey, Theodore and Seba Medlin.

Mr. Medlin was a supervisor with Burlington Industries for 37 ½ years and a retired farmer. He was a man that was admired and loved by many and would do anything to help someone in need. A gentleman with a Heart of Gold. He was a member of Pearce Baptist Church and White Stone Masonic Lodge # 155. Mr. Medlin was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Zebulon. Mr. Medlin will lie in state on Wednesday from 1 to 5 p.m. at Strickland Funeral Home, Louisburg for anyone wanting to come by and sign the register and pay their respects.

He is survived by his loving wife of 75 years, Ila Barnette Medlin; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family ask that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to Pearce Baptist Church, 4634 Pearces Rd., Zebulon, NC 27597 .
