Youngsville -- Julie Ellen Jones, 61, of Youngsville, North Carolina, passed away at her home surrounded by loved ones on Monday June 7, 2021. She was born in Alexandria, Virginia on November 6, 1959 a daughter of the late Samuel and Floy (Cannon) Jones. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Carol and Sandy Jones.

Julie was a devoted mother and friend, a helper who would selflessly give to anyone in need. She loved trips to the beach and the mountains with friends and family. She enjoyed knitting, had a knack for decorating, was a phenomenal cook and devoted her time to caring for others. She was a great educator and lifelong learner who touched the lives of countless students through her work at Vance Granville Community College for over 25 years. Julie was loved deeply by everyone who knew her and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Angela Brisson, her dogs, Jasper and Gunner, and her grand dogs Lily, Ava and Huck.

A time of visitation will be held from 10 a.m. -12 p.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2021 with a prayer service and sharing of memories beginning at 11 a.m., at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services 804 N Bickett Blvd Louisburg, NC 27549.
