WILHELMINA R. HAWKINS

Wilhelmina R. Hawkins, the daughter of the late Julia Cooley Robinson was born on November 8, 1926, in Louisburg, North Carolina. She departed this life and entered eternal rest on July 31, 2021.

Wilhelmina joined St. Paul United Presbyterian Church in 1939, where she served as a member of the Chancel Choir and M.O. McFadden Presbyterian Women's Organization. She also received the Older Adult of the Year Award from St. Paul Presbyterian Church and New Hope Presbytery. She was employed as a dietitian by St. Paul Presbyterian Daycare Center from 1976 to 2013.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Henry S. Hawkins; daughter Veronica M. Hawkins; son Victor L. Hawkins; great grandson Martezes S. Hawkins and great great- grandson Marlon Richardson III.

Wilhelmina touched many lives and was deeply loved by many. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Julia M. Hawkins (Sam) Richmond, VA; granddaughter Chantel Hawkins, Raleigh, NC; grandson Jermaine Edgerton of Georgia; two great granddaughters Zippora Burton (Marcus) of Raleigh, NC and Rasheeda Burton of Raleigh, NC; seven great great granddaughters, Aaliyah, Chania, Zabrianna, Jhourni, Marlayshaia, Marley and Marlaynd; seven great great grandsons, Jamarie, Jaquil, Treyron, Malreese, Elijah, Marloe and Jeremiah.

Special extended family includes; God-Children, Danny and Alice Neal and family, Carolyn Joyner and family. Her niece, Mrs. Phyllis Perry and family and a devoted great-niece, Ms. Dawn Nickens. As well as a host of relatives and friends.

Special thanks and love to Delinda Brodie, Constance Jackson, Rose Carmichael, Mary Edgerton Moore, Marie Hunt, Claire Alston, Louisburg Senior Citizens, Comfort Care, Dr. Felecia Hardy and the Southside Community.

Thank you for sharing a loving relationship with my Mother during her journey. May peace love and mercy be multiplied to each of you. -- Julia
