MARLENE MEDLIN WOOD

BUNN, NC--Marlene Medlin Wood, 91, of Bunn, passed away on November 14, 2021. She was born on September 7, 1930 in Johnston County to the late Zollie Thomas and Allie Gray Medlin. In addition to her parents, Marlene was predeceased by her husband, Perry Lee Wood; a son, Thomas Wood; a daughter, Lee Ann Wood; a grandson, Walton Sullivan; a sister, Jennie Bell; and brothers, Jarvis Medlin, Coy Lee Medlin, and Troy Thomas Medlin.

Marlene is survived by her son, Henry Wood (Mary) of Bunn; daughters, Nancy Wood Sullivan (Lavan), and Faye Wood Cascell (James) both of Bunn; sisters, Virginia Spencer of Zebulon, Shirley Pace of Henderson, and Dorothy Abbott Thomas of Henderson; nine grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 12 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 1 - 1:45 p.m. at Bunn Chapel Church of God of Prophecy, 567 MC Wilder Road Louisburg, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at the Bunn Town Cemetery.
