ILA B. MEDLIN
Aug. 10, 1928 - Dec. 31, 2021

BUNN, NC-- Ila Barnette Medlin, 93, of Bunn, went home to be with her Lord Friday morning, December 31, 2021. She was born in Franklin County, a daughter of the late Jasper L. and Beatrice Rogers Barnette.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, Hoyt Medlin, sisters, Adele B. Arnold, Varnia B. Williams; brothers, Jack L. Barnette, and Reginald Barnette.

Mrs. Medlin retired as an inspector with Burlington Industries for 37 ½ years and a farmer's wife. She and her husband were active members of Pearce Baptist Church until there health declined. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed keeping her home beautiful with flowers in her yard.

A funeral service was held 1 p.m. Monday, January 3, 2022, at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, Zebulon.

She is survived by her sister, Voncile B. Strickland of Youngsville; brother, Ben L. Barnette and wife, Cornelia of Franklinton; nieces Dale A. Strickland, Jackie B. Gregory, and Rhonda S. Irwin; nephews, J. Ted Arnold, and Glenn Barnette.

Mrs. Medlin ask for no flowers and memorials be made to Pearce Baptist Church, 4634 Pearce's Rd., Zebulon, NC 27597.
