ROBERT CHARLES ROSS

FRANKLINTON, NC--Robert Charles Ross, 44, of Franklinton, passed away on January 14, 2022. He was born on March 2, 1977 to James Albert Jr. and Rachel Eve Hoyle Shelton. Robert is predeceased by a sister, Jennifer Lynn Ross.

Robert is survived by his mother, Rachel Shelton (Anthony Lee); his father, James Albert Ross, Jr. (Elaine Wood); sisters, Chandra Cooke, Ella Watkins, and Bobbie Jane Thorne; his brother, Anthony Shelton; and nieces and nephews, Alyssa Sykes, Matthew Sykes, Cody Ryan, Jesse Ryan and Fiona Downing.

Robert enjoyed traveling and visiting new places and loved his career as a truckdriver, he shared the joy of travel when he took his nieces and nephews with him to Colorado in his truck. After coming off the road, Robert has worked at Trulite Glass and Aluminum Solutions in Youngsville. When not working, Robert loved fishing. He was a very loyal friend and was extremely family oriented. Robert loved to laugh and could light up a room with his smile. He was tenderhearted and was truly a "mama's boy", "dad's sidekick", a loving brother, funny uncle, caring nephew, crazy cousin, and a great friend with a huge heart.

The family will receive friends from 1 - 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Lancaster's Franklinton Chapel, 504 East Mason St. Franklinton, NC 27525 where funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Pine Forest Memorial Gardens, 770 Stadium Dr. Wake Forest, NC 27587.
