SHELBY ANN TIPPETT GOODWIN

FRANKLINTON, NC-- Shelby Ann Tippett Goodwin, 70, of Franklinton died Monday, April 4, 2022. She was born on June 26, 1951, the daughter of the late Henry and Margaret Hedgepeth Tippett. In addition to her parents, Shelby was predeceased by brothers, Charlie Tippett, Baby Boy Tippett, and Alexander Tippett and his wife, Patsy.

Survivors: husband of fifty years, Johnnie Lee Goodwin; son, Bernie Goodwin (Melody); daughter Sherry Barham (Chris); seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Elizabeth Tippett, Katie Louise Wood, Mary Ray (Millard), Helen Inman (Charlie), Dorothy Woodlief (Bennie); brothers, William Tippett (Shirley), Roy Tippett (Jean), James Tippett (Rhonda), and Frank Tippett (Gail); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Shelby's life will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, April 8, at New Beginnings Church of God of Prophecy, 14 Fairlane Ave. Franklinton, NC 27525, with Pastors Roy Stallings and Spencer Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service in the church's fellowship hall from 1-1:45 p.m.
