Christopher Michael Hatley

Franklinton, NC--Christopher Michael Hatley, 46, of Franklinton passed away on May 2, 2022. He was born on December 10, 1975, to Steve Hatley and the late Paulette Burkhard Hatley.

Chris is survived by his wife, Matilda Collie Hatley; his sons, Alvin Matthew Hatley and Tyler Christopher Hatley; his second mother, Ruthann Pearce Naufftus; his best friend, Matt Dillon; and his beloved dog "Moose".

Chris was funny, spirited, spontaneous, and caring. He was most proud to be the father to his boys and encouraged them to be adventurous. Chris did not put value into material things but lived for experiences and memories. Chris' family, friends and his dog Moose and his predeceased dog Loki were his life.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 6, 2022, from 6 - 7:30 p.m. at Lancaster's Franklinton Chapel, 504 E. Mason St. Franklinton, NC 27525, where a memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 7, 2022, with Reverend David Averette officiating. Per Chris's request, please attend wearing comfortable beach clothes.

In lieu of flowers, consider contributions to Transitions LifeCare https://www.transitionslifecare.org/donate/. Arrangements are being handled at Lancaster's Franklinton Chapel. Online condolences may be made to www.lancasterfcs.com
