Janet Eleanor Moore Wood

LOUISBURG, NC--Janet Eleanor Moore Wood, 81, of Louisburg passed away on July 2, 2022. She was born on November 17, 1940, to the late Arthur and Eleanor Bowden Moore. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Garland Wood; and her brother, Arthur Moore, Jr. .

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Hickory Rock Baptist Church with Reverend Charles Haley officiating.

Janet is survived by her sons, Jeffrey Wood (Amy Best Wood) and Archie Garland Wood Jr. and her granddaughters, McKayla Wood and Madeline Wood.

Janet graduated from Edward Best High School and then from Baptist School of Nursing in Winston Salem. She spent most of her life caring for others, working at several doctors' offices, Franklin Regional Hospital and the Franklin County Home Health. Janet enjoyed gardening and spending time with her granddaughters and family gatherings. She was active at Hickory Rock Baptist Church where she played the piano.
