Helen Hedgepeth Wilson
September 7, 1929 - March 6, 2023

Louisburg, NC--Mrs. Helen Hedgepeth Wilson 93, of Louisburg, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023. She was born to the late Judson R. Hedgepeth and Gussie Strickland Hedgepeth on September 7, 1929, in Vance County, NC.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Maynard Wilson; her son, Sheldon Wilson; two sisters, Isabelle Kennerson and Ellen Winn and one brother, Charles Hedgepeth.

She is survived by her three sons, Dennis Wilson (Sharon Parker), Thomas Wilson, and Ricky Wilson (Dianna); three grandchildren, Kyle Wilson, Lindsey Wilson, and Trey Wilson; and a special caretaker Maxine Coppage.

Helen was a longtime member of Corinth Baptist Church in Louisburg. She loved to cook and feed her family and she believed in preparing a full course meal every day until the very end. She enjoyed watching NC State basketball, word find books and coloring Easter eggs. She loved watching birds on her bird feeder and getting her hair done every Friday. Most of all she loved the Lord and her family. She will be missed tremendously.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery, 4582 US 401 Hwy N, in Louisburg and will be officiated by Pastor Jonathan Owens.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services.
