Betty Jean Ray Johnson
March 27, 1954-March 2, 2023

FRANKLINTON, NC--Betty Jean Ray Johnson, 68, of Franklinton passed away on March 2, 2023. She was born on March 27, 1954 in Red Springs, NC to the late James and Eunice Bounds Ray.

Betty is survived by her husband, David Glenn Johnson; her daughters, Connie Denton (Robert) and Kelly Hagman (Jeff); her grandchildren, Lilly Hagman, Kyle Jones (Tori), and Eric Jones (Courtney); her great-grandchildren, Roland Jones, Rhonin Jones, and Riley Reagan; her sister, Patsy Carter (Tommy); and her brother, Wilson Ray ( Bobbi).

Betty was a hair stylist, owning her own salon in Youngsville. She loved shopping, going on cruises and gambling. Betty was known for her spicy attitude and was a frequent commenter on many local Facebook groups.

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. on Monday, March 6, 2023 in the chapel at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd. Louisburg NC 27549. The family received friends following the service.
