Marie P. Floyd

Henderson, NC --Marie Pace Floyd, 89, of Henderson, NC died Sunday, March 26, 2023, at Duke University Hospital in Durham.

Born in Vance County, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Fuller Pace and Mabel McGhee Pace Jackson. She was the widow of Charles Frank Floyd Jr.

Marie was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class, and was a former Sunday School Teacher, a member of the choir and a member of the Pastor Parrish Committee.

A memorial service will be held Friday, March 31, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Union Chapel United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Radford Frazier.

Surviving is one son, Stanley W. Floyd (Gail); one sister, Evelyn P. Woodlief and a sister-in-law, Mag Pace. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Isabel P. Wortham and Dorothy P. Van Dyke and one brother, H. Fuller Pace.

The family will receive friends on Friday, immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Union Chapel United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 6479 Kittrell, NC 27544.
