Milton Grady Alford

WAKE FOREST, NC--Milton Grady Alford, 77, of Wake Forest passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at UNC Rex Healthcare.

He was born in Franklin County, the son of the late Annie Wilhelmina Dement and Walter Grady Alford. Milton was a member of Wake Forest United Methodist Church and was retired from the State of North Carolina as a budget analyst. He was Past Master of Youngsville Lodge #377 A.F. & A.M.

Milton's grandsons were the light of his life. There was nothing that he enjoyed more than spending time with them.

Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock Friday, April 14, 2023 at Wake Forest United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Wake Forest Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Brenda Pernell Alford; son, Robert Alford and wife, Amy, of Raleigh; grandsons, Will Alford and Clark Alford; his sisters, Laurie Jo Dement and Nancy Dement and brother, Ronnie Dement, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father Joe Perry Dement.

Memorial contributions may be made to Wake Forest United Methodist Church, 905 S. Main St., Wake Forest, NC 27587.
