Lumas Odell Pearce

LOUISBURG, NC--Lumas Odell Pearce, 94, of Louisburg, passed away Sunday morning, April 16, 2023.

A native of Franklin County, Odell was the son of Lumas "Fab"Pearce and Minta Perry Pearce. He was a retired heavy equipment operator with the state of North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Cecil Pearce and Shelton Pearce and a great granddaughter, Emma Brekken.

Odell is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jacqueline Sellars Pearce; son, Mike Pearce (Sharon) of Garner; daughter, Vickie Ball (Buster); brothers, Pete Pearce (Vann) of Bunn, James Pearce (Becky) of Raleigh, Wilbur Pearce (Carolyn) of Youngsville, Bobby Pearce (Ann) of Rolesville, Russell "Hambone" Pearce of Bunn; grandchildren, Brian Ball, Brett Pearce, Danielle Bowman, Michelle Brekken, Melinda Hodge and his great grandchildren, Landon Ball and Rylan Ball.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at the Bunn Cemetery, NC 98, Bunn, North Carolina.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Franklin County Department of Aging, attn: Courtney Cooke, 279 Bickett Blvd., Suite 400, Louisburg, NC 27549 or the Franklin County Animal Shelter, 351 T Kemp Road, Louisburg, NC 27549.
