YOUNGSVILLE, NC--Larry R. Carter, 82, of Youngsville passed away peacefully at home with all his family on Sunday, May 14, 2023.

He was born on December 27, 1940, to the late Raymond Wesley and Johannah Winterboer Carter. Larry lived in Youngsville on John Mitchell Road since 1984 and ran Carter's County Kennel for many years. He enjoyed being with his children and grandchildren and enjoyed all the family get-togethers going to trail rides, horse shows, RV camping, and boating with friends. He loved horses and all of our dogs.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Connie Daniels Carter, children, Laura Carter Christenson (John), David R. Carter (Suzanne) and Michael A. Carter (Lorna), grandchildren, Johnathan Compton (Donna), Amanda Carter Vick (Ryan), Mallory Carter, Justin Carter, Courtney Carter Young (Luigi) and Hunter Carter, great grandchildren, Colt Compton, Peyton Compton, Harper Vick, Charlotte Vick, Lucca Young, Celine Young and Aria Roldan, sisters, Carolyn Carter Chamberlain, and Shureen Carter Johnson, four nieces and four nephews.

A special thanks to Davita Dialysis in Louisburg. All our doctors and staff at Duke and UNC Rex, Promedica Hospice nurses and staff, Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services in Louisburg, and all of our family and special friends for all of their love and support at this time. It was so much appreciated.

Arrangements are being handled by Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg, NC 27549. Online condolences may be made to www.lancasterfcs.com.
