BILLIE B. JONES

RALEIGH, NC-- Billie Thrasher Bussey Jones, 74, of Raleigh, died Sunday morning, May 14, 2023 at her home. Born April 21, 1949, she was the daughter of the late James B. Bussey and Lavata Painter Bussey. Billie was preceded in death by her son Allen Hewitt Jones; brothers Donald Bussey and Robert Ramsey; and sister Mary Murray.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 18, at Vision Baptist Church in Raleigh, with Reverend Chris Pratt officiating. Burial will follow at the Wake Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

Billie is survived by her husband of 56 years, Edwin Hewitt Jones; son Clint Jones and wife Dana of Raleigh; daughters Jennifer Jones Rose and husband Tony of Zebulon, and Amy Jones Manning and husband Shannon of Apex; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Flowers are accepted or donations may be made in her name to Vision Baptist Church, 7633 Buffaloe Rd., Raleigh, NC 27616.
