LOUISBURG, NC - Ruby Murray Dement, 97, of Louisburg, passed away Friday afternoon, May 26, 2023, at her home.
Ruby was a daughter of the late William and Katie Pernell Murray. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wells Dement; daughters, Denese Turner and Molly Dement; granddaughter, April Faircloth and grandson, Jason Morgan and her great-grandson, David Satterwhite.
A funeral service was held 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2023 in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial followed in Lancaster Memorial Park.
Ruby is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Morgan; son Doyce Dement; sister, Marie Poole; granddaughter, Amy Bowden; great-grandson, Jacob (Faith) Satterwhite; great-great-grandchildren, Summer and Mia Satterwhite; nurse, Melba Cooper and many nieces and nephews.
