Barbara Herring Perry

FRANKLINTON, NC--Our Mother, Barbara Herring Perry, passed peacefully at home on Monday, May 22, 2023. She was 88 years old. Barbara was married to our father, James Kearney Perry, until his passing in 1996. She was a devoted mother, wife and friend. She is survived by her four children, five grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and her beloved cat, Carlee.

Barbara was a very active member of her community, including her church, where she served as the Director of Ladies Ministries for many years.

Our mother was the most loving, caring, patient mom we could have ever asked for and she will be missed by many.

She loved her family, friends, church and God. She loved children and animals. She enjoyed going to lunch with her friends after church on Sunday, attending the PreddyFest every summer, and bluegrass music.

Visitation was held at Bright Funeral Home in Wake Forest on Sunday, May 28, 2023 between 12 and 3 p.m.

Funeral Services were held in Franklinton, NC at The New Beginnings Church of God on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at 2 p.m. Graveside service followed.

Memorial Donations in memory of Barbara can be made to the:

American Cancer Society at https://donate.cancer.org; St. Judes Hospital at www.stjude.org or SPCA www.spcawake.org

Bright Funeral Home is serving the Perry family.
