Jasper B. "J.B." Paschall
May 7, 1946 - May 31, 2023

Belhaven, NC -- Mr. Jasper Broughton "J.B." Paschall, age 77, a former resident of Belhaven, died Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at ECU Health Beaufort Hospital in Washington.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 PM Saturday, June 3, 2023, from the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home in Belhaven, conducted by Travis Boyd. Entombment followed in the Belhaven Community Cemetery Mausoleum.

The following served as pallbearers: James Williams, Michael Mitchell, Bernie Ridgeway, Brad Smith, Harrison Hopkins, and Josh Hopkins.

Mr. Paschall was born in Franklin County, North Carolina on May 7, 1946. He was the son of the late Kenneth Edward Paschall and Sarah Margaret Privette Paschall.

Mr. Paschall graduated from Gaithersburg High School in Gaithersburg, MD in 1966. He lived in Virginia with his brother, James in 1970's and 1980's. Mr. Paschall worked as an administrator of a mental health facility in St Louis, Missouri. In 2006, he moved to Belhaven to be closer to his sister, Shelby Jean. In 2017, he moved to Washington.

J.B. enjoyed playing Bingo with his sister and friends at Ridgewood Manor for several years. Even prior to becoming a resident, you could find him there most days. J.B. spent many days over the years searching for the history of the Paschall family heritage. He compiled pages of family history and family genealogy records. J.B. could talk for hours about the Paschall family roots, that included Aunt Laura, Brother, as well as many Paschall relatives.

J.B. had a love for the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team and eagles. He had a collection of St. Louis memorabilia and an assortment of eagles.

Mr. Paschall is survived by a sister, Shelby Jean Williams of Washington and her children, James Williams (Lisa) of Washington, Margaret Ridgeway (Bernie) of Virginia, Betty Sue Moore (Milton) of Virginia, Jerry Williams of Hampton, VA, Travis Williams of Tampa. FL, Janet Bateman (Barry) of Virginia; sister-in-law, Mary Duboe of St. Louis along with many nieces and nephews and Paschall family members

In addition to his parents, Mr. Paschall was preceded in death by a brother, James Paschall and a sister, Joyce Tucker.

The family received friends from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM Friday, June 2, 2023, at Paul Funeral Home in Belhaven.
