FORT WASHINGTON, MD--Phillip Eugene "Gene" Pender, age 78, formerly of Franklinton, NC, died July 15, 2023, at Fort Washington Health & Rehabilitation, Fort Washington, Maryland.
He was born in Franklin County, NC December 17, 1944 to the late Elsie Pender and reared with the help of his grandmother, the late Addie Montague Pender of Franklinton, NC.
His survivors include a host of cousins and friends North Carolina, Maryland, and New York.
Funeral was Wednesday, July 26, at Bianchi Funeral Home Chapel of Washington DC. Burial took place at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suitland, MD. Rev. Marcellos Harris, officiating.
