Sarah Jeanette Frazier Andrews Dean
November 25, 1929 - July 29, 2023

RALEIGH, NC--Sarah Jeanette Frazier Andrews Dean, 93, of Raleigh passed away on July 29, 2023 at The Laurels of Forest Glen in Garner, NC. She was born on November 25, 1929 to the late Fred and Erma Wilder Frazier. In addition to her parents, Sarah is predeceased by her first husband Robert L. Andrews and her siblings Janice Gupton, Charlotte Bragg, Norman Frazier, Fred E. Frazier Jr., Troy Frazier, and James H. Frazier.

Sarah is survived by her husband, Leonard F. Dean; her daughter, Beth Jackson (David); step-children, Steve Dean (Trisch), Craig Dean, Nick Dean (Wei Sun), and Neil Dean (Amy); nine grandchildren, Robert D. Jackson (Dale), Deborah Popour (William), C. Ryan Jackson (Christy), Katherine Jackson, Rose Jackson, Evan Dean, Avery Dean, Reiker Dean, Elam Dean; five great grandchildren, Garin, Rocco, Briggs, Colt, and Berkley; her sister Irene Brantley; and sister-in-law Ruth Ann Frazier.

Mrs. Dean had worked for the North Carolina Department of Revenue, and was well-known in the Raleigh art community for her watercolors and other paintings. She was a beloved sister, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. In her final seven years, she was attended by her loving caregiver Audra Jordan of Garner, NC. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Benson Memorial United Methodist Church, the Alzheimer's Association or other associated charities in Mrs. Dean's memory.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Oakwood Cemetery in Louisburg with Pastor Alan Felton officiating.
