Ronald Joseph Dement
September 29, 1951 - July 31, 2023

Louisburg, NC--Ronald Joseph Dement, 71, of Louisburg, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023. He was born on September 29, 1951, to the late Joe Perry Dement and Frances Finch Vassar. In addition to his parents, Ronnie was predeceased by his stepmother, Wilhelmina Dement; and brothers, Johnny Dement and Milton Alford.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Patricia Grissom Dement; his sons, Joey Dement and Vaughn Brubaker; his granddaughters, Kristin Rodriguez (Alex), and Annabelle Brubaker; his great-granddaughter, Margaux Rodriguez; his sisters, Laurie Jo Dement, Nancy Dickerson, and Deana Lauro (Gabriel); and his sister-in-law, Brenda Alford.

Ronnie loved rabbit hunting and was known as "Rabbit Hunter" on the CB. He loved his family and his church and church family. Ronnie was very giving of his time to help and do for others. He loved his beagles just as much as his family. Ronnie was also the tomato king in the Centerville area. After retiring, Ronnie would be in Louisburg every morning to grocery shop.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 4, 2023 from 12:00 - 12:45 p.m. at Centerville Baptist Church, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Doug Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
