Connie Hocutt Cooke

Louisburg, NC-- Connie Hocutt Cooke, 70, of Louisburg, passed away Thursday evening, August 17, 2023 at Nash General Hospital.


Connie was the daughter of the late James Thomas Hocutt and Doris Marie Hinnant Hocutt. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister Judy Denton.


She is survived by her husband, Keith Cooke; daughter Courtney Cooke Williams and her husband Brooks; son Matthew Cooke and his wife Brooke, all of Louisburg; granddaughter Ivey Cooke; twin brother Tommy Hocutt and wife Marcia of Charlotte; sister Tammy Lack and husband Todd of Raleigh; mother-in-law, Martha Cooke; sister-in-law, Audrey Jones and husband Roy.


Connie was known for her love of people and her many crafty talents. She spent many years doing alterations, making clothing and custom draperies, crafting, crocheting and baking wedding and birthday cakes. She will be missed deeply by those that loved her.


A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 20 at 3 p.m. at White Level Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and at other times at the home of Courtney and Brooks Williams. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Connie's memory to the White Level Baptist Church Women on Mission.


The family would also like to thank special friends, Bobbie Keith and Vickie May for their help with all the many trips to doctor appointments and dialysis treatments.
