Franklinton, NC-- Paul Douglas Philpott, 96, of Franklinton died August 27, 2023. He was born on October 18, 1926, to the late Clinton Philpott and Esther Preddy Abbott. In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by his wife, Marie Dixon Philpott.

Paul is survived by his son: Tony Philpott (Darlene); his daughter Angela Stroud (Vincent Smillie); his six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, September 1, at Fairview Cemetery in Franklinton with the Reverends Harold Woodlief and David Averette officiating.
