Montgomery W. (Bill) Shugart III
January 13, 1945 - February 19, 2024

YADKINVILLE - Montgomery W. (Bill) Shugart III, age 79, passed away peacefully at home on February 19th, 2024. He was born on January 13, 1945 to the late Almira Banks Shugart and Montgomery W. (Bill) Shugart Jr.

Surviving is his wife Pamala Shugart; his children Zachary (Reena) Shugart and Teresa (Timothy) Kelly; grandchildren, Addison and Kyplee Kelly; step-grandson Dustin Tolbert; and sister Dorothy (Robert) Kellogg.

Bill's passion to assist and serve people with hearing impairment ultimately led him to become a licensed hearing aid salesman. He became owner and operator of Stratford Hearing Aid Center located in Winston-Salem for 30+ years until his retirement 2011. During the subsequent years Bill enjoyed camping, visiting his friends and family, fishing, pickleball, wood carving and serving in the Winston-Salem Host Lions Club.

Bill's Celebration of Life has been planned for Sunday February 25th, 2024 in the Family Life Center at Yadkinville United Methodist Church, located at 204 W. Main Street Yadkinville N.C. 27055. The family will receive visitors at 2 p.m., with a service at 3 p.m. A Sign Language Interpreter will be provided for the service.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mount Valley Hospice, Yadkinville United Methodist Church, or the Winston-Salem Host Lions Club. Online condolences may be made to www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
